HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN METAL EMBOSSED TEA LIGHT HOLDER

My Daughter asked me to emboss something for a project she is putting together for school. I told her to take a look at my metal embossing board on Pinterest to get some ideas as to what she was looking for. She chose a tea light holder.

I asked Mr. Hobby to cut a few boards, route the edges and cut recess holes for the tea lights to sit in. Took him all of a few minutes to grant my request. Mr. Hobby can be very awesome like that.

We lost our images sorry. If you make this, please email us your pictures.

I spent about an hour embossing 3 designs and cutting them out. I filled the back of each one with some Elmer’s glue to help hold the shape of the designs.  For more information on how to emboss – check out my 4 part series on Embossing Basics found on the menu bar of my home page under Metal Embossing How To.

I decided I would finish each wood piece differently so that my daughter would have a variety to choose from. Here is what I ended up with:

Black Spray Paint

Pecan Stain

Best Manual Lawn Aerators
