HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN DIY CRAFT CADDY SHABBY CHIC TWINE VALENTINE

It’s been a while since I have shared a project with you and this week, I have 3 quick and easy Valentine’s Day projects to share.  Each one of these projects is a completely different style.  Each one is incredibly easy, inexpensive and takes no more than 15 minutes to put together.  Today we are sharing a Shabby Chic Twine Valentine project.

We lost our images sorry. If you make this, please email us your pictures.

Supplies Used:

– An 8×10 Canvas Panel
– Piece of scrap paper
– Pencil
– Twine
– Elmer’s Glue
– Scissors
– Chalk Paint or acrylic paint in cream
– Paint Brush
– Paper Towel

I started by taking my scrap paper and folded it in 1/2 and cut out a heart shape.

Laying the heart on the canvas, I lightly traced it onto the canvas using a pencil.

I filled the heart shape with Elmer’s glue.

I cut strips of twine to fill in the heart.

To get the ‘shabby’ look, I took a paint brush a lightly painted the heart with chalk paint and before it dried, I rubbed some of it off with a paper towel.

I framed this with a resin frame I picked up at Hobby Lobby a few months ago. Love these frames!

This non-traditional shabby chic twine heart looks beautiful sitting on my mantel and received a thumbs up from Mr. Hobby.

Thank you for the visit!

Best Garden Hose Reels (Wall-Mounted)

A coiled hose on the lawn looks rustic for about a week, then it kinks, gets mowed over, and trips someone. A wall-mounted hose reel keeps it tidy, lengthens the life of the hose by half, and pays itself off the first ti

Best Drip Irrigation Kits for Vegetable Beds

Hand-watering a productive vegetable garden in summer is two hours a day you don’t have. Drip irrigation cuts that to a minute (turn the tap on) plus 15 minutes a week of fault-finding. The plants grow faster, water bill

Best Garden Hoses (Kink-Free)

If you replace your garden hose every two years, you’re buying the wrong hose. A good hose lasts a decade, doesn’t kink at the tap, doesn’t split where you accidentally drove the mower over it once, and doesn’t leach pla
